Our Story | How We Became Stephen Isley Jewelry

Est. 1982

Stephen Isley Jewelry was founded with a deep love for
Montana's beauty and a passion for exceptional design.
For
over 40 years, Stephen Isley and Cindy Just have built a trusted jewelry business in Whitefish, Montana, known for its craftsmanship, creativity, and dedication to Montana Sapphires.

Stephen Isley & Cindy Just, Owners

Stephen's journey began in Southern California, where local jewelers inspired him as a young boy. That inspiration led him to Montana in the early 1970s, where he fell in love with Glacier National Park, the mountain landscapes, and the small-town charm of Whitefish. His passion for Montana Yogo Sapphires became the cornerstone of his work, allowing him to cultivate meaningful relationships with miners and gem brokers throughout the state.

Cindy's artistic path began in her early teens, when she explored mediums such as oil painting and watercolor before discovering her passion for metalsmithing. After moving to Whitefish in search of creative inspiration, Cindy found her calling as a jewelry designer and apprentice metalsmith. Her talent and artistic vision became essential to the store's unique designs.
